Someone asked me if I had any dietary requirement, 'cos I'm going to stay at a vegan place for a bit. Anyway.  I said I like eating vegan food. But now I'm worried that I've caused offence.
Vegan is just NOT menu option; like  for example ... I quite fancy chinese, or italian tonight.
Being vegan is an identity.  It's like I just fetishised somebodies identity.  I hate it when people do that to me and  now I've just done the same thing.
HELP!
