@davexunit@quitter.se just to be contrary! Imagine I'd developed a new protocol…OShare… that allowed people to share cool things, and we got an RFC and IETF ratification. And I wanted to encourage uptake of this new protocol. Releasing a BSD licensed reference implementation might be a good way to help that?
